Cruising thru Bloom

A friend invited me to go riding with him and his girlfriend this afternoon. The girlfriend had drill with her reserve troop for the afternoon and so it gave us a chance to hit up some of the local roads and park for some photo ops.
Plus - I haven't taken a 150~ mile trip in awhile, so it was nice to get out and test out some of the newest mods.
The bike without the rear fender and with the crappy seat pan. The Ultima seat should be going on tomorrow, as long as my front mount comes in...
The bikes - My friend rides an 85 (I think) Yamaha Maxim XJ something... He lowered the rear with a set of Savage struts and has future plans of bobbing his bike too.
My 5 minute tail light mockup to make me legal to ride today (or, rather still illegal since it was missing the rear fender)
Cruising Shot
Spencer riding...
Then when his girlfriend was done with drill, she came out. She rides a Savage!

And to clarify the title... We cruised through Bloomsburg. My brother went to school there and it's always a nice ride up that way... Plus - school is back in.

Thanks. Shot with my Nikon D80 and 50 mm 1.8F lens... Should've taken the extra lenses, but didn't feel like dragging the heavy stuff in a bookbag.
T-shirt was purchased some a bike shop... The front says BADD (Bikers Against Dumb Drivers) and the rear says, CAN YOU SEE ME NOW AHOLE?
I try to watch when I wear it... I don't need some crazy person to swerve and hit me because of the shirt I'm wearing. :x

Gorgeous- three Savages! Brings a tear to my eye
Nice camera work, too. My wife's upgrading to the Nikon D90 early next year.
I almost bought the same shirt, in bright orange, but had second thoughts about getting run off the road BECAUSE of the shirt

Only 2 Savages... The third is my a Yamaha Maxim XJ something or other...
And thanks. I started with a D50, which went bad and was replaced with the D80 instead. I'd like to get one that does HD movies... But, I don't feel like paying the price, when I wouldn't be able to sell the D80 for 1/2 of what I paid for it anymore.

My finacee was at my cousins bridal shower... That, and we still need to get her a shifter lever for her bike, and we're waiting for her new turn signals to come in.
Sorry... :-P

I wore a T-shirt in Phoenix that said "HANG UP AND DRIVE!", and I know for a fact that some people used that as a target.
Sure is pretty country!
Can we see more pics of your buddy's Yamhammer?

For clarification (since I didn't know earlier), it's a 85 Yamaha Maxim XJ700. Here's a few pics I found from another forum he posts on.
When he first got it
Savage struts installed, replaced the mufflers with some turndowns.
He's thinking of building something like this out of it...
I believe he said they lengthened the swingarm and made a custom driveshaft for it.... But it looks really slick.
