serenity3743 and Midnightrider ride to Mayberry
09/08/09 at 15:21:01

Soon after I joined this forum I noticed a post by serenity3743. I saw that he lived about an hour away and I PMed him and told him we should hook up and ride. Serenity3743 emailed me back. We discussed where we wanted to go so today we took off to Mt Airy, Andy Griffith's hometown. Andy called it Mayberry in the TV show. I took some pics along the way. Our Savages on top of Sauratown Mtn. after a fun ride up NC66. This road is almost as fun as The Dragon.

serenity3743 on top of Pilot Mountain. Andy called it Mt Pilot on the TV Show. We had a great ride. serenity bought me a pork chop sandwich at the Snappy Diner. We went by Floyd's Barber Shop. We had awesome weather. We're already planning another ride to Table Rock.

Dang, if I'd known you were gonna be riding in my back yard I'd have joined up with you two!  I'm in Rural Hall, probably 30 miles south of Mt Airy.

Drop me a note when you're going riding again and I'll ride my '06 Savage and tag along.

I saw a helmet sticker that said "HAIRDO BY HELMET"...  but then I figured if someone can see my hair, then I'm probably not wearing my helmet!  Maybe it was a sticker for my forehead!  LOL
