Thanks Denim, Yeah we're planning on forwards, will check them out.
Yesterday had Matt (my son) on the bike mocking some control locations. To make the bike fit him with the seat where it is, looks
like we have to go 8" out and 1" down.

Seems like a long way LOL

Thanks Demin... Not sold on the location for the box yet. I'd like to take the battery box out or go with something smaller. Not sure how to take care of that yet though... Although, with the air box out, it doesn't look too bad where it sits now.

The Ultima seat should be here tomorrow. So I'm excited for that to come in and get mounted up.

From another forum that I'm on, someone else was talking about bobbing and posted up about a false oil bag that holds the electronics and battery. So, I went out to Google and came up with G&L Choppers. They make this:

I shot them an e-mail to get the size of the battery box to see how it'll fit. I've got to take their measurements (overall size of 8.25" front to rear, and 8.5" side to side, endcaps are 4.5") to see how that'll fit in there. Without the stock battery box, and mounting that up in there, I think it'd be a decent fit.

Anyone else on a Savage running something like that? Interested in seeing pictures if you are.

I've looked at TC Bros before... I like the one I posted since it's semi-integrated into "one" unit. Plus, they said everything is hand made and can be customized... So, I would think that I could have the box moved further into to electronics tube to make it seem a little smaller.

I have also thought about going that route. I really like the look of those boxes and I know it would clean so much stuff up.

They do add to the look... Plus, it would get the battery out of the stock location and open all of that area up. I've got to take some measurements when I get home today, but I have a feeling that it'll work just fine.
