Does anyone use a cramp buster on their throttle?  If so, does it make a difference?

I use one on my Suzuki Burgman and it DOES make a difference. I can pretty much just rest my hand on the throttle and give it gas. It comes in handy for long rides.

I have a throttle lock on my bike and really love it.

Here is a thread I found:

I have one on my Triumph Bonneville -- that's the bike I use for all-day rides.
I don't have one on my Savage -- it only gets in the way on short hops.

Hey, why be consistent!

If you do decide to try one, be careful not to let it snag the end of your jacket sleeve!  (Yup, even a piece of plastic has a learning curve!)

Always thought those looked handy, but notice you have to slide the brake housing away from the throttle a hair to mount it.  Does that affect the grip/ergonomics any? Huh

I had my bike about four months before I got the throtle lock thing, I do not know the brand of mine since it was a gift.

I did have to move the brake housing just a bit, but it really did not affect the grip or how it feels or anything.  I did see, maybe on the CD, a picture of one that was mounted right to the housing with the kill switch and starter button, but it has been a while since I saw it.  As best I remember, I am guessing the housing was taken apart and either tapped for the bar that goes to the lock or maybe a nut was put inside.  That looked a little cleaner, but mine was not broke so I didn't try to fix it! Wink

I know everyone is different, but if mine fell off this morning, I would go looking for another.

I had a throttle rocker, and it actually came off riding in a storm (I think wind/water got under it.) When I went to replace it, they had Cramp Busters in stock so I got one, I've had it on my MC now for about 4 years. Lots of all day rides with it, I'm not sure I would be as comfortable without it.

If the Cramp buster got broke or fell off, I would replace it right away.

I've had the VistaCruise throttle lock for about 6 or 7 years and I like it very much.  I added a ThrottleRocker a couple years ago and for me they work well together.  I don't get any fatigue in my hand on longer trips.

Just get a grip exerciser and while watching TV, use it until you can get a job at the stock market strangling cows. Then you will not have any fatigue problems anymore.

I ended up buying a cramp buster and i'm still getting used to it.  I've had to play with the right comfort location but seems to be working well.  I'll try it for now and see how it works out.

Thanks guys for your inputs!

The one I have rotates out of the way so you only use it when you want to. When you need it to releive a cramp, just rotate it around for use. One way it moves and the other it grips.

If you have ISO grips and you wanted to put a throttle lock, would it fit or do you have to remove / move stuff?
