The question came up, again.

So, I went & popped the tank off & had a look. The hot wire to the yellow with green stripe, center wire on the side that has the clip keeping the harness to the decomp timer, is what I did. If you do this, remember to keep it in neutral while you are messing with it, because it will make the engine turn over, even with the key off. It definitely bypasses the safety switches. & if thers a problem with the wiring  at the front of the bike, or the start switch. I think its a great troubleshooting tool. I do think, tho, that Ill hook up a way to rip it out in short order, because if something happens to short that switch , the starter will run till it burns up or the battery dies.

I wish this could get put somewhere.

How do you activate the decomp and starter bypassing all safeties w/o pushing a button?

Answer short the yel/grn wire to the red/wht wire

Suggest you use a momentary switch.  And it'd better be in neutral.

No, I'm not going to tell you newb's which little black box is the decomp controller or you'll go out and hurt yourselves.
