The engine covers have a clear coat over them if you take that off those covers polish up all most chrome, I did it to mine cause they were scratched pretty bad, i used some aircraft remover, brushed it on, let it sit for about 5-10 minutes and spray water hose to rinse off. ( caution though, if you over spray with the hose immediatly rinse the part that may have splattered, so you dont take off any paint that you want to keep. I took me 2-3 coats of remover and the clearcoat was all gone, now i just use miguires HOT Wheels/rims paste and rub in like wax till turnes black then buff out, stuff works like a dream!!
