Posts: 236 Decatur, AL Gender:	Heavy Flywheel 08/29/09 at 20:11:42 Man I got the flywheel and all parts with it off today, all I can say is WOW. I thought the alt assy was heavy, I get the flywheel off and its milled from solid steel, no cast here. I see why these things have so much pulling power, its a Tractor ! LOL

I'm thinking of adding about 2lbs to the flywheel, I e-mailed Jay from A.P.E and I'll know more when I hear back from him..

Didn't phelonius do something like that? and his engine blew up,or fell apart.

You would lay it flat and drill in say 12 1" dia holes close to the outer edge and fill with lead or other heavy metals.
And this is the safest way to do this, I dont want to mess with the crank or rod...
This would slow the revs say on neutral but make for a smoother transition when shifting and more torque all over the power range..
