Buying Jets
08/28/09 at 08:59:33

I have an 08 and I currently have a Jardine exhaust with a #152.5 main and a #50 pilot, 3.5 turns on the idle mixture and 1/2 white spacer and I still get the occasional backfire. I would like to try a 155 main and a 55 pilot. I have been buying them on eBay but I have read about Mikuni jets and they are cheaper; I found this site: http://www.psep.biz/store/mikuni_main_jet.htm

Not sure which ones to buy. They have large round mains and small round mains, should I get the bleed type pilot?  Any ideas?

Assuming that there are  no air leaks in the exhaust (double check it), the Jardine usually would require a #52.5 pilot jet, and occasionally a #55 perhaps.
Never go more than 3 turns out on the adj screw.  When you get into the 2.5-3 turn out range, it is a clear indication that you  need to go up to the next size jet.

I have checked for leaks several times after installing the exhaust. So far so good.

The #52.5 pilot jet, is that the ADPJ30525 on the site I listed earlier

What about the main jet? If I need to increase to the #155 is is the ADRMJ155?

Thanks for the help!

The mainn jet number is correct, but I could not find any pilot jets on that website.  Their price of $3.25 is fair.
