Found this cool pic on a website devoted to the XS650;
Whatdya think? This look good on a Savage/S40 tank (with LS650 replacing the "Yamaha" of course!)

I've got a real softspot for the Jap twin bonnie look alike...
Over here in the UK the XS makes a real nice chop.. lots to play around with and cheap as well..
Thats a nice tank mate... Summers nearly over and I may just pinch a few ideas for the winter build...
Thing is I have a million and one ideas ....

Yeah I think it would look pretty good. The S40/Savage tank really isn't that bad either for a stock tank. I think a ton of tanks would really set off any build though.

Looks like someone used that tank to center that rock up on the tire.

I have a million and one ideas as well, and worse, I just got a XS650 ... my second. Just chopped my second savage ...
I am however not chopping the XS ... ever. Its a great cafe bike, not a decent bike to chop. IMHO.
Getting a whole other frame for it etc etc IMHO is the garbage way of chopping it. I'd like a chopped at the neck ... or distant second, chopped @ the triples. Which really has many advantages over the neck chop IMHO.
Cool.

I just want an XS650 motor to work off of. They are very appealing to the eye and with some work can put out some pretty good power.
