wiring the ignition timer
08/21/09 at 15:33:00

The wires from the left crank case cover broke due to fatigue.  I've got to solder the wires back together, however the two wires coming from the ignition timer have lost all sign of color.  Can someone take a look at theirs and see where the wires go?

Thanks, I really appreciate the help!

Im talking about the LEFT cover, the generator cover, that has five wires going through a rubber boot.

the generator coil has three wires (yellow) that go to the rectifier.

the ignition timer (inside the cover, its a little black unit) has two wires (green, orange) that go into the Ignition control box.  this is the unit that measures crankshaft speed and times the spark

all 5 wires broke.  I can figure out the generator coils easily because they're all the same, but the ignition timer/hall sensor probably has to wired in the right direction.
