Engine Guard and Highway Pegs

Has anyone installed the engine guard available from Suzuki?
http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%20Lines/Cycles/Products/Boulevard%20S40/2...
next question.....
If so, could you mount some highway pegs on this for a comfortable riding position?
thanks!

Many of us have. The usual pegs of choice are the Kuryaken Long Horn.
Very nice for changing position.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

The OEM Engine Guard really doesn't "guard" anything ... it's too small ... even sez on it's packaging, "for decorative purposes only" (or something like that) ... that said, there have been folk here who have attached highway pegs to the OEM Guard.
A much more functional Engine Guard (that would actually protect the Bike, foot controls, etc, in event of a tip-over) for the LS650, is the Wingerline Highway Bar ... which can be ordered on-line.

I have the OEM guard and offset long horn pegs. As was stated above, if you want it to be and "engine guard" it's not the one for you. but if you just want an anchor point for some highway pegs, it works great.

I cut up and welded a set of harley engine guards to fit my '02. Shot them with some black rattlecan paint and they were ready to go. Got them at a bike flea market for a buck a piece so there wasn't any thing to loose if they didn't work.

Some questions have occurred to me:
Can those Longhorn pegs be flipped up to reduce the width when not in use?
If so, can you flip them up and down with your feet, and would that be a good idea?
