I belive Chevy owned Suzuki for a while. My bike and my wifes Pontiac Grand Am are the same year and same funky green color. I think GM sold off Suzuki before the Gov. took it over, but I could be wrong.

P.S. the year of the bike and car are 2003.

Mike, you seem to have the same bug as me. I am always trying to do with less or with something unintended for the purpose. I am also never satisfied unless I have modified or changed something. Please keep us upto date on any of your mods, I for one enjoy learning from such endeavors. Gene

I'm always fascinated by the things people make/come up with. I love to try out new things. I can't wait to get a place with a real garage so I can actually do some work. I guess having a few power tools would help. I own nothing but a dremel lol.

I really think we need to come up with a new design for a battery box. one that is more for bobber/choppers. It would need to be able to be moved back a little bit. I would even be o.k with it bolting in from the bottom. I HATE my stock battery box, it is horrid.

Mine is going behind and below the stock swingarm pivot location... Roll Eyes

Now I was wanting to make a set of forward controls "WITH" battery box ! So the battery would be between your feet up front.. with a nice cover and new leads.... but I need a stock bike here in my shop for that..
DimondJim was going to bring his bike over for just that AND for a carry rack... but thats the time he vanished !

The Savage's totally flat piston, small cam, nice 4 valve combustion chamber.

It all sounds like the perfect motor to try what I've been wanting to try for a while now.... so I'm doing all the mods needed for a really tight piston to head fit and will do a good heavy groove on both the quench flats....

We'll see how she runs with it someday... Roll Eyes
