Idle Mixture screw (Read 99 times)

jsw1159 YaBB Newbies Offline SuzukiSavage.com Rocks! Posts: 14	Idle Mixture screw 08/05/09 at 15:07:41 I had drilled out the brass plug and set my carb after re-jet but now my mixture screw wants to back out after riding for awhile. Is there anything I can use to keep this from happening or just keep adjusting? Anyone have any suggestions

And if it's more than 3 turns out, it's likely to back out on its own.

It was 4 carb corvair,, sorry.

The adjusting screw should have a spring, tiny washer, and o-ring. If you are not careful when removing the screw, one or all of those parts can drop off and hide forever from you. Also, if you are missing one or more of them, check inside the hole for the screw; the o-ring especially can easily get lodged down inside there and if you do not notice it being missing, then when you insert the screw back in the hole and screw it down, the o-ring gets mangles all to pieces. Sad
