Yet Another Jet Question
08/03/09 at 06:42:01
I know this topic has been beat to death but I can't seem to find specific answers. I have a 95 Savage and just put a dyna muffler on (because that's what all of you say to do!) I know I have to re-jet, but I don't know what jet size to go to... can you please let me know what size jet I need... Thanks!

Being its used you should take out the jet and see what it is.

Altitude and riding style comes into play as well. What is right for a conservitive rider at sea level will not be right for a speed demon at say 4000 MSL. (Mean Sea Level)

That's why the subject has been beat to death,.... there is no "this jet, for this bike, with this muffler"....
Altitude, humidity, elevation, riding style... plus interaction of pilot needle and main jets, make jetting an art/science....
A change of 20 or 30% humidity, or 3000ft elevation can make more difference than your muffler...
Basically, if you were running good before, and your muffler is freeing up breathing, you need to be a little richer.... Try going up one step and see if it gets better...

152.5 main.
Go to a 52.5 pilot jet if you're more than 2-1/2 turns out of the air screw and could go farther to idle smoother and faster.
Cut the spacer for the jet needle down to about half its original height.
If this doesn't work best for your bike and locality, try something different.
