integrated led tail light and turn signals?
07/23/09 at 09:09:36

I've looked around on a bunch of bikes, and noticed one thing i really liked is a tail light with integrated turn signals.

I can't find a kit online for the savage.. has anyone done something like this?

take the tail light, replace it with an LED assembly, and then somehow tie in the signals to the correct side of that assembly?

it would be really nice to get the turn signals out of the way of my saddle bags (not to mention i feel they get bumped up against more than any other part of the bike)...

not to be a party pooper but, check the laws in your state.  Some require a minimum distance between the turn signals.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

good idea. www.pacode.com (because i live in PA...) brings up this item:

"The stop lamps shall not be combined with turn signal lamps unless arrangement of switches or other parts are such that the stop lamp is extinguished when the turn signal is in use. "

so, it is legal. now is it feasible?

Doing a visual...a Honda Ruckus taillight assembly would probably fit; and not clash with the styling.  The turn signals are attached to the same bracket that holds the taillight.

Okay...you were looking for an LED assembly.  Just caught that.

Thought you wanted to move the turn signals.
