Handle Bars 7/8" or 1"

What is the diameter of the stock bars?
Will 7/8" bars fit in the stock risers?
Please advise.

A little free time is a dangerous thing. I cn't beleive I read all the posts in this thread. Good thing they were short and to the point.

7/8" bars can be made to work on 1" risers. You will have to get or make up shims to account for the diameter difference. They have to be real good because there is alot of "push" on the bars every time you stop.
You will also have to do the same for all the things that mount on the bars.....
so it's really not cost effective to use 7/8" bars
.
Note: you can not put larger diameter bars on smaller risers.

I considered that..... I will see how close the bars I ordered are to fitting. Also, how they look will play a significant factor as to whether or not I modify the risers.
I ordered a second bar that is 1" just in case. I think lower and wider bars will really make the bike feel good and look much better.
