4 speed versus 5 speed
07/17/09 at 12:14:03

I know that about the only major change that Suzuki has made in the Savage over the years is the change from a 4 speed transmission to a 5 speed transmission.  My question essentially is, did it make any real difference.  In other words, how do the ratios at the bottom and top differ? (I.e do you have the same take off on both bikes, and does the top speed change?

I realize this has probably been discussed before, but I was not able to locate it.

Thanks

Top and bottom are about the same, just have an extra gear to mess with.
