when these gas fumes finally get in contact w/some oxygen (in ur
muffler) and touch a red hot tip of metal somewhere within the
exhaust system, which acts kinda like a sparkplug:
BANG! - On dry days and/or desert locations the combustion is much
more efficient, therefore less byproduct gas fumes = less bang.
