And yet again, I am saved by this great forum!

For the next poor slob, here is a pic of that huckleberry:

This pic is taken from the port side of the rear axle.  The chrome belt guard is to the left of the bolt, the upper run of the drive belt itself is above the bolt, the forward end of the rear fender is to the right of the bolt, and the inboard portion of the port passenger footpeg assy is visible at the bottom left of the photo (in the foreground and a bit out of focus).

Here is another look at the subject bolt (FYI, this is a slightly modded pic that is found on the Savage photo CD):

IHTH someone!

Reminds me of a standard joke on the Rebel site
How to remove Rebel airbox
remove every part of the bike, including the frame
That part left over, that's the airbox

Whatever your local auto parts store stocks that fits the hose.

The ones they have are so generic.  I was thinking something with a little flair.  I saw a nice chrome billet one on ebay but it's 1/4" and I think 3/8-1/2" is more suitable.  That's why I was asking for recommendations.  I'm betting someone has something or has seen something nice looking.
