07/09/09 at 11:59:55

2morrow morning my friend and i are going to look @ a black '03 ls650 for him...it's from a dealer and is a little pricey but we'll work on that. it's got 14,000 miles i think and it looks nice! he already has plans to bob it out!

so 2day i took off my backrest, i told my woman she'll just have to hold on lol

monday i'm off(have a karate seminar all weekend) so then i'm goin to paint the headlight...from there i'm not sure yet...the ideas are circling around my head!

keep spreading it. Ineclipse has been my dearest friend for about a decade now. I got a rebel 250. Next year he gets a nighthawk 250, I sell my rebel and get a Savage. This year he sells his nighthawk to another long time freind of both of ours and also got himself a Savage. Same year and everything. I suspect our mutual friend will be reselling the nighthawk sometime next year. I will of course be pushing for him to get a Savage. My manager wants a savage too. There are too few things in the world that are as wonderful as riding and too few bikes with as many positive attributes all combined. I say spread the joy to anyone that doesnt totally suck.

ps - 14k mi is pretty steep for an '03. You'd probably be able to find a slightly older bike with significantly less miles at a significantly lower price.

Hey Rocco,

I saw a '06 S40 in Boca with 17 miles for 3k in Craigs List.

http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/mcy/1233171393.html
FS: NEW 2006 Suzuki Boulevard S40 - $3000 (Boca Raton FL ).

It is the exact bike I have, down to the color. With times as they are you could pick this up with cash at a better price.

I paid $2900.00 last February for mine with 49 miles.

Just trying to give you options  Smiley

at almost 17 miles, should those pipes be that blue???????

just wondering, I've got 4100 miles on my bike and my pipes aren't anywhere near that color, even before I polished them

my friend's who are into sport touring say the savage is too small for the long ride, then my rat bike friend's say mine is a little beast....i'm spreading the word!!!

i will definately ask, if not i'm sure we'learn how to do it!

and yes cash would be cheaper but it would take him a while to save, and he has the bike itch just as bad as i do. the couple extra bucks is worth it to him to ride WHILE he pays!!

and i like the dealer because they do the work, i got screwed over by a personal seller & it really upset me.

we'll see how low we can chew him down!  Grin

Verslagen;
I think you are thinking of the cure for ridding all day on a stock Savage seat.

Yeah baby! "Savageitis" is spreadin' faster than the Swine Flu! When I got my original '03 LS back in '03, I knew of only 2 other LS650's in our entire city ... now, 6 years later, I see other Savage/S40's almost every day ... last night alone, within space of 1 hour, I saw 3 others besides my own ... not bad seein' as how the metro St. John's area has a pop. of only around 150K! Cool

In charlotte NC I will be selling a 3500 mile 2000 model (so its savage not s40 though a sticker set could make it an s40  Grin)  in the unbeliveably lickable "coffee with cream" color all done in powdercoat - not paint, plus extra stuff been coated too, like the tool box cover and lock and backer plate etc, plus a lot of extras - like hand made risers and stainless steel drag bars, a POR 15 coated tank, new smooth seat - not the weird factory heat seamed one + many more extras - come on, its my bike, it will have extras, prolly out the wazoo ... oh yea, no head plug oil leak ... many more ...

Asking 2200 on CL in ~ 1 month, and prolly sell it for 2K to a savage ... you know, one who's suffering from savageitis, then you turn into a savage.

Just  throwing it out there, its not comming up for a month, cos I need to use it to model stuff since the other one is going chopper.

Cool.
Srinath.
