What about flat black, "and" gloss black in a two tone? Sort of like the southwest Indian pottery. Black gloss flames over a flat black tank and fender? Simple enough to be done with rattle cans.

flat black does excellent camoflage on bad body repairs, imperfect prep, and "on a budget" custom work... it's very forgiving... it will be seen as long as paint exists... and it has that grey primered 68 charger kind of message "im too cool for color"....overused? maybe, probably... over-rated? never....

I see a lot of bikes done in flat black bed liner material. Now if I could get bed liner in OD Green. Flat black with gloss black flames would probably look good.

i agree with the '68 charger look! anytime i see a muscle car that's flat black, not alot of shiny stuff on it, it almost always has a kick a$$ engine....i'm a "all go no show" kind of guy lol
