I had a tip-over the other day and ended up with a bent right side foot peg. (And a little ego damage)  Anyway, I'm looking for advice, ideas, suggestions for a replacement. New? used? aftermarket? or????  Any hlep would be appreciated.

Thanks, David

It all depends exactly where it is bent at. Sometimes you can just remove it, beat it back straight and you're ready to go.

The footpeg is a short cast stub with a steel frame on that, You can remove it and the rubber part and straighten the steel out. Cast part will break not bend. I removed the rubber to install my floorboards and drileed through the cast part to secure them. Max

It was bent right in the middle.  I took it off and used the Bigger Hammer approach on it without taking it apart.  It is now better, but not quite as Mr. Suzuki made it.  How about a how-to on taking it apart?

Thanks for you help.

Adios, David

on the end where you removed the allen head screw there is a chrome washer up against the rubber. Slide this washer off and then slide the rubber off and lay it on a solid surface and use your hammer. When you get done you will see that the rubber and the chrome washer will only go on one way. DO NOT BEAT ON the CAST Part!

After removed the bent footpeg from the bike, I used a small torch gun that use to weld copper pipe to heat it up before beating on it to straighten it. It worked pretty good without cracking it up!
