not sure why you would want to make an already slow steering machine turn in even slower but then thats your choice. you may need to find a set of forks from another bike with the wheel, caliper, rotor and the triple clamps then graft it on the savage.

There is a place, Forks by Frank or Franks Forks, or something like that and he makes longer fork tubes to go on the front assembly.  Somebody on here in the past has done the long front end so you may try searching the archive and/or google.

I got em from a 1985 KX500. Need the whole stem, triples, the wheel brake ...
Junkyards have them and they wont run you more than couple 100. They are larger dia, have less offset and are a decent (9-12 in) longer for an added 10 degrees of rake. They have 21 inch aluminum laced rim in a 90 width. They will also interchange with KX 250 and 125 parts in that similar vintage. Best of all, over other dirt bike front ends these will take savage risers and 1 inch drag bar. Yea cables and wires fit too.
Cool.
Srinath.

I love watching Orange County Choppers for stuff like this. When Paul Sr. or whatever takes a bike out thats raked out to 14 feet long and half of it is the forks. "This one handles like a dream!".  Huh Huh

the dirt bike forks is a good call. no doubt the tubes are a bigger dia. than the stock unit, less issues with fork braces and flexing, not to mention much improved dampening.
