Dang oil leak!!
05/21/09 at 05:53:13

I have oil leaks still and its driving me nuts.  I pulled the valve cover off, replaced the plug cap (sealed it w/ red RTV) replaced the O-Ring, put a bead of silicone on the cover and torqued it down.  The dang cover is still leaking.  I am thinking maybe 1/4 turn all the bolts may fix it?  It burns my britches Suzuki didnt make a gasket to go there!!!

I also have a little drible on the right side bottom, anyone have there clutch cover leak oil?  Maybe a 1/4 turn on those bolts too??

Any ideas?

When you had the cover off,  did you check for knicks or bumps on the mating surfaces???

A lot of times, people will pry the cover off with a screw driver and not watch where they pry.   Shops included....  Sad

Any imperfection in the mating surfaces has the possibility to cause a leak.
