Adjusting shifter position
05/20/09 at 08:50:38

Hi,

I just got a pair of new boots, and it looks like they are pretty tall in the toe area. It's getting difficult to up-shift. What's the best place to adjust the height of the shifter lever?

thks,

K

looking up from the bottom, there's a threaded rod with lock nuts on either end.  Loosen both nuts and rotate rod to raise the knob.  Then retighten the locknuts.

thks a lot. I'm assuming one of them must be counter rotating. Anybody happens to know which one before I strip the threads Smiley?

Nothing to it. Just lay down there and look things over.  You can see which one goes which way.  I can't remember right now, or I'd save you the trouble.

I think it's the nut closest to the shifter.  Huh

thks everybody who replied, everything went as described. The nut is 10mm and the counter one is the one at the foot.
