Riser size

I did a search and looked through my Clymer manual, but couldn't find any specific size for the riser bolts.  I've got an '86 with the buckhorns and I'm wanting to switch them out to a dragbar with 4 inch risers.  There are a ton of "Harley" risers on ebay - will those work as is?  Or will they require some fooling around with?   Is there a specific bolt size to look for that will work out of the box?

Thanks.

Harleys are 1/2" ours are close to 3/8".
Harleys will fit if you leave out the spacer and drill out the washers.
Don't get the ones with a bridge between the 2 risers.

Most use a 1/2 x 13 thread bolt.  Some use 1/2 x 20 thread bolt.

I made my own from aluminum scrap.  One inch square stock cut to length, then one end was tapered in a lathe and cut to fit the part that grips the bar. Drilled full length and a through bolt fitted down the whole thing. They have served me well for more than 30,000 miles now.
