I own an 08 S40 got it new last June and I am looking to do some mods. I have already added a backrest/shelf, saddle bags.
My wish list is:
First- forward controls since I am 6'1"
Second- windshield
Third- floorboards
Any help would be greatly appreciated

For the forward controls, contact Ed L. He's a member of this site that makes a darn good set for a decent price. I do not know if floorboards will mount to them, but you can ask or modify them to fit.
Windshield, just do a search for windshields and you should come up with quite a few hits.

Two easy mods to do, that I have found great and enhance safety are:
1) Fork Brace ( Smooths out from end jitters at Hiway speeds)
2) Smiga Cycle Computer ( Puts a Speed indicator up on the handle bars for quick & easy reading. It also has a trip computer which is a must considering the small gas tank we have)
Windshields come in all flavors so you have to shop around. I found a small Road Chrome brand that works well, easy to install and adjust, and was anout $100.

Like standard pegs, most Harley stuff will fit your savage brackets, so the same should go for floorboards as well.

as far as safety goes I highly recomment a turnsignal/running light conversion kit from electricalconnection.com. $50 when I bought mine. Pretty easy install. Well worth it. Drivers more easily notice a three point light pattern.

It is also easy to get a 3 wire signal and tap into the running light. That will save you some money.

Thanks for the replies.
I did order the superbrace and I contacted ED about the forward controls. As for safety I did install the Back Off Brake Light Flasher which works great. Makes me feel better when I am sitting at an intersection. I asked about windshields because I got one free when I purchased the bike; it is the Suzuki sport windshield that mounts on the handle bars. I only used it about a week and got tired of my head shaking from the wind (I wear glasses so I could not see the road). I like the looks of the Memphis Big Shot but when I checked their web site for mounting kit fitment, the charts only list up to 07 S40's; Cruiser Customizing states "This accessory fits all current model years." I contacted Cruiser Customizing about this and I have not received a response yet.
