run into problems,could use some help (Read 119 times)

Posts: 32	run into problems,could use some help 04/14/09 at 09:16:00 i pulled the head cover to replace the head plug cap,i put everythiong back together exactly the way i took it off just like the pics in the tech section.i go to fire the bike up and nothing.i did not however have the bike at tdc,would this somehow contribute to the problem?

You only had the head cover off not the cam or anything else correct? If so, not having it at TDC for the plug cap leak shouldn't have anything to do with it.

California Gender:	Re: run into problems,could use some help Reply #2 - 04/14/09 at 11:22:02 Only issue with not being on TDC is having to fight the valve springs to torque it back down. And as long as you didn't adjust the valves at that setting should be ok. Make sure you have gas in the bowl by putting it on prime and reconnected everything. check for gas, check for spark, should be good to go.

Even though they may look ok the connectors could be yanked apart.
