New rear fender?
04/03/09 at 13:45:56

Does anyone know where Demin got the rear fender he's using for his purple bobber and what kind of fender it is (measurements)? I tried PM'ing him but I guess he hasnt checked the site in a while.  I'm in the middle of doing some upgrades/bobbing/chopping mine and love the look of the fender he used on his purple bobber.  Thanks all!

I've heard of some people getting trailer fenders from Harbor Freight and the likes, but not sure exactly on Demin's.

i found mine on ebay, just type in 6 inch rear fender. how long of a fender are you looking for? mine was a full length trailer fender and i cut it in half so i have a un-used half.

Eddie, does that rear fender bounce?  Is there any support on the back end or is it one of those thick, sturdy fenders and doesn't need rear support?

its just laying on the tire, i was just taking pics as new stuff was delivered. i started mounting the fender (shortened fender) a couple days ago. there will be no bouncing when im done Smiley

it is a thick sturdy fender though. for the price i was impressed....

One of the three wires going to the stock light is a ground.  You have to figure out which one is the ground in the stock loom and route that one to one of the bolts on the back of the new light.  Pretty sure this is how I'm gonna have to do mine when it gets here.  Someone else will chime in too.

Exactly! i tested mine on a loose car battery and the case of the two wire lights were a ground.
