I had thought about doing a Y pipe 1 into 2 a while back, but I had enough trouble mounting my fishtail muffler, let alone a two pipe scenario. Go for it, it is cool.

Of course it's extended though. If the pipes are open then performance would likely be similar to just running header only. A single drag pipe has it's length to provide a little resistance.
