how come the link say to take the spacer out, and others say I need some washers?will it run ok without the washers?

It really depends on your altitude. Guys on the coast (or sea level) can take it all the way out. The higher the altitude the more spacer you will need. don't know where you live so can't advise much more than Burnpgh. Start with the four and gradually work your way down. I am in Memphis TN, appx 400 ft. I only have appx 1/3 of the spacer in. I just filed it down each time I stepped down. Suzi' runs real fine and plugs are good as new when I check them. Welcome aboard.

I just took it out, filed it down and put it back in. It's nylon so be careful. It'll shave on down pretty easy. I started with half and then took a little more. I am at about 1/3 the original spacer thickness.

It's been two years since I did the mod. I think it's about 1.5 turns.
