Pics of new bike
03/24/09 at 16:28:32

Now that my wife is back from a visit to the far East and I have the camera, I can add pictures of my recently (2/19/09) purchased Savage. MFD 05/2003 with 2,721 miles on odo; I have put 636 miles on it since then. The weather is perfect for riding now in S Arizona so the miles go on pretty quickly - all shopping or to the pistol range, gym etc.

I also add pictures taken in Vietnam or maybe Laos showing that the motorcycle rules and can be really loaded.

With regard to the latter, my Savage’s rear suspension, set on 1, is so stiff it might as well be a hardtail, bet it could carry 500lbs easy - maybe me being only 120lbs doesn’t help.

Welcome to the club.

Sure you got in on the softest setting?

1 should the the shortist setting.

If that's to hard, then progressive shocks 412-4005 may be just right for you.

Good thing it's a Suzuki and not a Harley, (no oil drips)....... That's the cleanest driveway I've ever seen!....
Congrats Nicka Wink

In answer to verslagen1's comment on spring settings; I moved it to setting 1 as shown on page 23 in the User Manual (which says 1 is the "softest" setting), it was on 2, the facory default - so I think I've got that right.

I think the smartest thing I did in this post was to get all the right photos in the right place in the text - all thanks to serowbot directing me to verslagen1's post of 3/8/09 that so clearly explains how to do it - I think these instructions should be in the "posting rules" post.
