Float valve
03/20/09 at 12:04:04

So my bike was leaking gas like a mofo cause the carb is dirty and i had a friend of mine take it off and clean it out but to no avail. The bike is still leaking gas, does anybody know the correct measurements/level to set the valve at?

Maybe you need a new valve.

checking the float level...
if you have a drain valve, stick a clear tube on it, bend it up and open the valve (petcock in prime)  the gas should rise up to the gasket on the bowl.

No clear tube? Lower the end till gas comes up. You have the level in the bowl.
Look at the needle valve. If it has a circle driven in it, its a bit tired.
Shake the float & see if it has fuel in it. rarely, they can leak.
