This will not work. The standard EMCO pleated paper oil filter is sufficent for the needs of the Savage. If you want to make the stock filter more efficent put a magnet on it.

The listing said it fit S40. I pick up my 2008 S40 on 4/7/09. I'm so new that all I've done with the S40 is sit on it in the dealership showroom!
