Thanks guys I appreciatte the compliments. This was my first attempt at customizing anything let alone a bike. Its funny how things change as your working on a project. It runs ok but I think I still need to work on the carb a bit. As far as exhausts go is any sportster muffler acceptable or is there one in particular that I should stay away from? I installed the one thats on there because it came from a local harley mechanic that sold it to me for 3 bucks. Couldn't beat the price!! Cool

You can grab all kinds of different custom fenders like that off eBay and chopper websites.

Bobber looks great. What did you use to make your springer seat rear brackets. Any information would be appreciated. I put a springer seat on mine but I'm not satisfied with my design.  Thanks

You could try one of these setups:

diamond Jim you da man I saw that photo shop and had to do it. Once I finished it it looked great !! AH the inspiration  Wink

FYI the rear seat bracket sre tabs used to make seat mounting brackets for racing go karts. I can get them pretty cheap if anyone needs some let me know. mounted the brackets right to frame opposite the rear fender bolts , works perfect. Sits a little higher than most would like but it is really a comfortable ride.

To accurately capture my my thoughts about it, I felt the word "cool" was just a little too weak.  So I consulted my White Boy Urban Dictionary- 2008 Edition.  It said I should tell you that it looks pimp, gnarly, phat, dank, or gangsta.  It also said fly but that must have been an error.  I'm certain that's a left over from the 1998 edition.

Wow, very nice bike.   Was the drag bar a "plug and play" install as far as the controls go,  I hate the "buckhurthorn" handle bar my bike has and I'm looking for ideas.

pretty much plug and play on the bars . The only mod is the front brake hose I had one made 4 inches shorter seemed to work out real good. Bars are yamaha drag bars but dont remember for what?   Huh

Yes, we stayed up past our bedtime; especially after having to drive back home...about midnight when I walked in the door.  But it was a really good time; I very much enjoyed meeting you and Margaret (please thank her for me for the dinner and the hours of play time we had) and your mother, as well as tinkering with the carb.  I enjoyed the whole time.

First of all, it looks so much better now with that rear fender. Personally, I think the look would be completed with some decent (but not necessarily mad expensive) foot pegs. The stock pegs are the only thing I notice on there that takes away from it. Yeah, it's minor, but it's such a good ride otherwise. Smiley again, just MHO.
