Questions about chain conversion and gearing
03/05/09 at 07:52:45
While going through the site I found this awesome writeup about a chain conversion:
http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1174239333
At first I was wondering why anyone would want to do that as I wasnt thinking about gearing. Then when I thought about it and saw the chart:
It hit me
Well my question is, why would anyone want anything besides the 12-38 setup? Looks like the best setup by the chart. So what are the pro's and con's of the different setups?
I may want to do this
For $100 it cant hurt much!

Cool. Maybe I will do this in early June before bike week. I got a growing list of other stuff to keep me busy for now

True. Wonder if I could go with something aftermarket and calibrate it. Good incentive to ditch the tank and put something bigger on...
