Hello all!!!
My Parking garage roof has a leak in it. I did not notice until this afternoon, but as the melting water from the roof dripped in, it froze to the ground, my tarp, splashed up onto my muffler, crank case cover and onto my the edge of my back tire. Needless to say it all froze over before I could move the bike out of the way. Is the ice gonna damage my back tire? Could melting it with a blow dryer save it, or should I just have the landlord reimburse me for the cost of a new tire?

I'll mail you a hot rock,... you can drop down your back to warm you up while you patch the roof... PS. if you're not kidding,.. the ice won't hurt your tire..... no worries...

Reply #6 - 03/01/09 at 07:21:13 Throw a bit of salt on the ice and when it begins to melt roll the bike out. Salt is embedded in Ontario tires for about 6 months annually - no harm no foul.
