Check the adjustment of the rear brake switch.

There's a front brake switch, too. It might be defective.

i found out the sob who was supposed to have my machined parts ready for my cast wheel conversion hasnt even started. 2 weeks he says. He'll call in a few days witha price he says. I call a week and a half after going to see him and he says "oh yea...well Im real busy. You should take it somewhere else." Im frustrated. Dont even want to look at the bike until Ive got everything I need for it. It just makes me sad lookin at her up on blocks. Whatever the issue is i'm sure I'll catch it eventually. But for now...im having a beer.

Sounds like another situation I know of. Waiting and waiting on someone else, that's why I do what I can on my bike and keep going to places until I find someone I know that can get the job done.
