I did about everything I wanted to do.. H-D muffler, Lancer's Jet Set, K & N filter (used from a member here), and most recently new tires http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300291827560&vi...

I also bought so new oil filters on ebay and it's time to change the oil.

Question; Knowing that the Savage has a wet clutch. Is it okay to use Mobil 1 Synthetic oil? I have a couple of quarts left over from the car. It's 10-40..

I'm pretty sure that oil doesn't have an friction modifiers in it so I say yes.

If the round label does not say energy conserving, then its probably okay for the clutch.  BUT, any car oil is going to have very little of the zddp additive that our engine likes/needs.

Read some good oil info: http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1214016026

Let me use the Waffle House menu method (You'll get the "Waffle House" reference if you've seen the classic stand-up comedy routine by Bill Hicks):
