I'm a big fan of that front end as well. How much does it affect the handling?
those handlebars are putting ideas in my head

Yep, the saddle bags are needed as is the rear seat because I haul my younger daughter around as well.
The handle bars are basic 1inch diameter 10 inch rise mini apes.
The front end increases my turning radius a bit but not by too much, and it is a bit bouncy compared to a hydraulic front end. But all in all it actually handles rather well.

Yonuh, did you have to extend any of the wires/cables for the hand controls with the 10" mini apes?

When I put the mini apes on I still had the stock front end, but no, all I had to do was re-route the cables. But remember, I originally had the buck horn bars, if you have the drag bars you may need to get new cables.

thanks! sweet, I got the buckhorns so hopefully I won't have to get new extensions. Do you think I'd be ok with the stock cables with the 12" mini apes?

I don't know about the 12 inches, but I do know the ten inch are no problems.
