Spit Fire Windshield vs Fly Screen

I'm looking to put a small windshield on and found two styles on ebay stores that look interesting. Can anyone offer feedback or personal experience on a 15" Spit Fire Windshield ( Harber Cycle Parts) or small Fly Screen (Motorcycle Shields)

Thanks

I have a national fly screen, a little better than going w/o but way better in the summer than a full screen.  w/o I get to 50 before the blast slows me down.  w/flyscreen I'm good to 70.

Hi....

I've fitted Spitfire 15inch tinted screens to my Savage and other bikes.  Been very pleased with them.

I live abroad and Harbers posted them to me at what I thought was a reasonable cost.  The screens clean up well with a bit of soap and water as well.

I've got the clear SpitFire on mine and love it.

Here is a past post with other members comments.

I have an 86 Savage which came with a Spitfire windshield.  my problem with it is the threads had worn out on the clamps that hold it to the handlebars.  What I found with them tightened down and with riding vibration they would work their way down and scratch and indent the gas tank.  I obviously need to get some new clamps and work out a way to lock them into position so this wont happen again.

I have both a National Cycle Flyscreen:

Useful for carrying flowers behind; and the National Cycle Street Shield:

Taken last year while on tour.

Summertime I usually run naked.  If I'll be making a freeway trip I'll slip on the Flyscreen.  It takes the wind pressure off the body and allows sustained 70+ without fatique.  Goggles required.

Winter riding, and on tour, I mount the Street Shield.  This big boy (17") keeps the cold winter wind from running it's icy fingers down around my neck.  On tour, wind is deflected off the face, allowing riding with mere sunglasses in lieu of windproof goggles.  Mine adjusts to have the wind hitting just above the browline -- wind in the hair, not in the face.

I have the Spitfire. Been real pleased with it. Can't imagine using anything smaller, but that's just me. To each his own.

You're invisible and naked.
