Winter Project -- Saddlebags!

Having found the official Triumph leather saddlebags too small, I replaced them with some expandable ones from Cycle Gear:

So that left me with some nice bags, and a bagless Savage.  I got the saddlebag brackets just in time for a major cold snap!

It finally warmed up enough to spend some quality time in the Garage. Tonight I took advantage of my wife's absence to use the extra garage space to put the Triumph bags on the Suzuki.  I had to cut the strap back to clear the heat sink:

But I think the end result was darned good!

And, here it is with the tail case back on:

Might want to clean up those inside angles, maybe put a bit of radius in, instead of a cut meeting a cut. If it starts tearing, thats one part of the solution.

Thanks Justin -- the one at the top of the photo is rounded -- I'll do the same to the other one the next time I have the seat off!

Thanks -- I think I have some plastic tubing around -- I'll run the wires through the tube, maybe split it so they'll fit easily.

Always one more project!
