Ok, found some at a good price. How hard is it to get them to work on the s40 ? do you have to mod the cables at all?

It depends on if you have the drag bars or pullbacks originally. If you originally have the pullbacks, no, just re-route the cables. If you originally have drag bars, then yes, you will need to get longer cables.

you mean the triple tree clamps?

If you dont mind some of the ribbing on the handlebars hanging out, it's fine.  I found the brake cable to be a little tight but it should work.

And for $.99, what do you have to lose?

actually what bars you have doesnt matter the cables are pretty much the same length on both it matters what risers you have if you have the risers that are on the pull back pars then your good to go if you have the drag bar risers then you will need to to get shorter ones.

actually there is a big difference, in cable length. i have (had) pull backs and ordered a cable for the drags and it was alot shorter. i had to reroute it just to get it to work.
