Does anyone make a shifter that i wouldn't have to shift my toe over and under-other than a heel toe?

The only other options would be jockey/suicide or air shifter(not cheap).

I thought of modding the shifter lever with another one in the form of a Y or Fork shape with your foot resting in between. Silly idea,,, but who knows....

hey,savron-although you're probably right,( about silly) that's the same thing i drew in "paint" about a month after i got my s-40.the only thing that stymies me is there'd have to be about an 8 inch gap in the horseshoe and that would throw my toe quite a bit beneath the peg when downshifting . can you think of a solution to that?

After looking at the shifter a bit, I think this would be a more efficient way. Just attach another toe lift just above the existing one. Enough space between for your boot to fit in.

I havent looked, but I suspect an electric setup could be built & stuck up under there.

Hmmmm... in SavRon's drawing, I would be a little afraid of getting stuck in there (shoelace or pants?) and looking like a domino at a stop light..... slow motion flop....as I furiously tried to get the foot loose.... with eight hundred people watching of course.
OR...... as I pull out from a light.... missing getting my foot in there. and running slow whining out first gear as I fumble around.... with a bunch of people behind wondering if I had a moped instead of a Savage.
BUT.... maybe a knee paddle for the up shifts. Foot downshiift..... knee upshift .... that would give a little more room to get in & out quickly.
