The Petcock Poltergeist Strikes AGAIN!
12/19/08 at 17:57:21
Well, for a long time i thought my bike was having carburetor issues. It would run for a little while, die on me, Crank, Crank, Crank, Crank, Ker-Pow!! Off I go again! It would only happen to me at idle, so i was thinking it was the darned idler jet..... but no...
I was riding on this amazing "winter" day. (its about 70 here in texas), and she was doin' fine, then she dies again! So i switched her to prime....
no more problems!!!!
Thanks for all the help on all of my past posts.

make sure you check the vac line for gas, daily wouldn't be a bad idea.
replace the vac line to see if it fixes the problem
make sure to switch to on when parked.

Thanks, I recently replaced the vac line with higher gauge hose. And i've not had a problem with turning it off yet. We'll see if i can make it a habit before i forget.

Or purchase a Yamaha Raptor (quad type vehicle) petc0ck ... fits right on the LS650 tank and has standard ON-OFF-RES settings ... just plug the vacuum connection on the carburator.

Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure you are not, in fact, just surrounded by arseholes!
