Well there will be no more work done on the bike today. One of the screws that holds the crank case cover couldn't handle the torque and broke off. So I don't know what I'm going to do now.

If you pull the cover back off, can you get to the "nub"? Put a slot in it & use a screwdriver?

The other side of that coin is, you dont Need a replacement till you get that one out.While the bolts are out, you can haul one to the store & get a few.

I forgot to post what the fix was to getting it started. Apparently is was the washer. I must of had it on the wrong gear shaft which caused the starter to bind. Anyhow I got her started and she runs good.
