Hi all. Just a thought , has anybody ever had problems with a sticking valve, and if so what would the symptoms be, also is it possible to take the cylinder head of without taking the engine out of the frame, cheers

I heard it could be done, but you're going to loosen up the engine and tilt it forward.

Why not take it out?  Remove all the mounting bolt except leave the 2 long ones in the holes, tip the bike over on one side (blankets), remove the bolts, push the engine clear of the frame and remove the bike.

I do not recall anything about sticking valves.

valves, unless i'm mistaken, can only stick out. the loabs on the cam would force them to open, if they were "stuck" closed.

A stuck open valve could cause your bike not to run, bent valves, loss of compression, a multitude of things. my guess is your bike would have very very low compression and prob not run.
