So what are you unclear about?
Gas weighs a pint a pound... roughly.
Most say the petcock is very close to the frame.
Either take it off if you're paranoid about scratching the frame
or lift and wiggle the the left.
The vent hoses point up, if you ever get the tank off, you'll see a hole in the frame in the back end of the top tube.  Just think of your secratary   Wink
Throw a towel on the ground before you take the tank off so you have someplace to put it other than your sofa.
With the tank off, you can remove the cables and lines off the carb.  Loosen the clamps and twist it 90° for easy access to the top and bottom.
Replace the carb screws with SS allen head screws for easier RnR.
Always apply a little antisieze to fasteners of differing materials if you ever want to get them out again.
Always use the correct tool for the job.
Read the directions before you do the job.

If you need more help, learn by doing and teach the rest of us.   Grin

OK New line of questioning   Grin

btw, I got the exhaust on with the C-clamp and there was NO problem and you cant see the clamp behind the heat shield and it was easy to get the heat shield on.  Being I did the re-jetting too it took awile for the bike to start and I also think my batt didn't have the best of charges.

Questions:
It was running REAL shiatty for awhile until I mess around with the mix screw. Then I got it so that it ran but I was shotting flames out the tail pipe (running too rich). haha...it was cool to see but I dont want that. So I leaned it out a bit. Now it pops but no to little flame. I think it's more gases then anything.

Can if I screw the idle screw ALL the way in, that is what? VERY rich, right? I would like to use that as a starting point. So at that point, (about) how many times should I turn it counter clockwise till I should start getting to the sweet point? Can also screw that screw all the way out? If so, is it a dangerous thing like I gotta watch out for a spring to shoot out and hit me in the eye?

Anyone with a Dyna, do you "pop" even being tuned correctly?

This the one you're talking about?
idk
