anyone know of a reputable mechanic/savage owner in west tennessee?? i am now scared to take it to the man who said it was probably bearings

Greyhead, I forgot what your problem is. A knock? If so, lets talk about it. Chances are the solution is a matter of tuning & adjusting, not gutting & replacing. You need to know what the problem is before you decide if its gonna be you fixing it or you paying someone. If you dont know what it is before you hand it to a mechanic, you have no assurance that the 10 hours at $65.00/ hr charged to go in & replace a bearing is really what happened, or if they tightened the peg bolts & just SAID they changed a bearing..

He has 33k miles on his bike with an original camchain and tensioner.
