Finally got that fershlugginer engine out . I get all the bolts out except one. That stupid gol dang son of a blankety heck hex bolt on the right side battery bracket, you know, the bracket that has the bend that goes over the tail of the engine and is in the way just enough to f with you and make you curse, well the hex socket stripped on me.
I removed the bolt that hinges the muffler bracket, which allowed me to slightly tip the battery bracket back another 1/4 inch, just enough to finally wrestle the engine out. I'm frickin pooped! This hard darn work! I got bins full of parts everywhere! Reminds me when I was a little kid and I took my Mr. Machine toy all apart. I never did get it all back together.
"Hey Honey? Have you seen that jar of Icy Hot?"

last year i had the engine out of my savage, and was glad it was so small. still heavy, but nowhere near as heavy as a honda 750 four.

When I had mine out in April, I discovered it weighs about 110 pounds or so. I put it back in by myself. (paid for it for several days
